Compliance Review

Compliance Review is our in-depth assessment of how your residential or outpatient mental health program measures up against California's licensing and certification requirements. It is designed for leaders who want a clear, honest picture of risk before a surveyor, health plan, or attorney provides it for them.

We begin with a focused document review: licenses and certificates, policies and procedures, staff files, training records, incident reports, medication logs, client records, and quality assurance reports. We look not only for missing items, but for patterns that indicate systemic gaps-such as late documentation, inconsistent signatures, or unclear service plans.

Next, we conduct interviews and observational walk-throughs, remotely or on-site as feasible. We talk with administrators, clinical leads, direct care staff, and, when appropriate, support staff. We want to see how policies show up in daily practice: shift handoffs, crisis response, admission and discharge workflows, and supervision of new employees.

Using this information, we map your current operations against key state standards affecting client safety, rights, staffing, and environment. You receive a written report that prioritizes findings by risk level: immediate threats to licensure or certification, issues likely to lead to deficiencies on survey, and improvement opportunities that would strengthen your program.

Crucially, the report includes practical corrective action guidance. For each high-risk item, we outline what needs to change in policy, training, documentation, or workflow, and suggest realistic timelines.
